Dr. Marder leads a team of 180 employees in five Thomson Reuters offices. For nearly 30 years, he has been involved in a variety of large-scale government and private research projects analyzing aspects of the healthcare delivery system.
William D. Marder, PhD, is senior vice president and general manager of two Thomson Reuters business groups. He directs research and database development services for the government, private research and policy development organizations, and the pharmaceutical and medical technology industry. His staff includes experts in health services research, health economics, clinical coding, large-scale data integration, and statistical programming.
Dr. Marder has published in the areas of physician supply and the economics of medical education and has ongoing interest in understanding the interactions between patients and providers. Before joining Thomson Reuters, Dr. Marder was managing vice president of health services research and evaluation at Abt Associates, Inc. Dr. Marder holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago.
